Sliding Gate

Our sliding gate system features the unique Amazing Slider Guide that allows you to hang gates that are not only functional, but also beautiful. The sliding gate styles shown below are rolling gate style with Ground Track. If a ground track can't be laid down in your property, our Cantilever Slide Gate may work for you. An additional advantage sliding gates have over conventional swing gates is the ability to operate after a heavy snowfall. They can still do so due to the fact that they travel on a line that is as thin as the gate itself.

All rolling sliding gates are Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel and finished with a baked-on powder coat. Styles match our wrought iron fence and walkthrough garden gates.

Unique Easy Installation and Safety Features of our Sliding Gate System

  1. Heavy Duty Rollers: The Amazing Slider Guide
The heavy duty roller fits between the gate and the bolt on horizontal Guide Rail eliminating the need for standard "pinch rollers" and allows for the gate to have a curved top or other non rectangular design.
  2. Guide Rail
The Guide Rail bolts to either end of the gate at the side and has a stabilizer bracket (shown in image #2) at the center point of the gate.
  3. Frame Extension
The Slider Frame Extension is what allows the Slider Guide to hold the gate upright in the closed position. Non-reach-through wire mesh is attached to the back frame at the factory and cannot be removed. A second wire mesh designed to be attached to main gate is supplied with every gate for attachment on site by the installer. Alternative : the gate design can be continued into this area.
  4. V-Track
The galvanized "V" Track can either be anchor-bolted to an existing driveway or set in concrete while pouring a new grade beam. The gate rolls open and closed on this track so it must be twice as long as the gap opening the gate is securing.
  5. Chain Attach Brackets
Most slide gate openers are chain driven. Our system uses a bolt-on chain attach bracket which can be vertically adjusted to align with the chain from the opener. This facilitates the installation.
  6. Heavy Duty Chain
The heavy duty chain attaches to the adjustable chain attach bracket at each end of the gate and passes through the drive sprocket of the Polaris 2500SL Gate Opener (shown in image #8).
  7. Single or Bi-Parting Gates
A single slide gate may be used for gap openings up to 18 ft wide. Gates longer than 18 feet must be bi-parting (requires two slider guides and openers, as shown in the installation pictured above). For single leaf sliding gates, a Catch Post is recommended to add stability.
  8. Built-in Gate Opener Platform
The Amazing Slider Guide also features a mounting platform at the bottom for attaching the gate opener. This eliminates the need to pour a concrete pad for the opener, saving you time and money. The Amazing Slider Guide roller placement and gate opener platform placement are both adjustable vertically for use with various gate heights and for a trouble free installation.
